Welcome to Inter-Faith Housing Alliance
Inter-Faith Housing Alliance is a non-profit organization providing housing and supportive services for homeless families throughout the greater Montgomery County, Pennsylvania region since 1982.
Inter-Faith helps families in crisis to become successfully independent:
- by preventing homelessness from occurring through our community food bank, and limited one-time financial support designed to keep families in their homes
- by operating an Emergency Shelter for stays of up to three months
- through Hope Gardens, our transitional housing apartments for longer stays
Coupled with therapeutic counseling, intensive case management, and educational and life skills training, our programs are designed to provide families with the tools they need to become successfully independent – and thus break the cycle of homelessness.
In 2012 Inter-Faith Housing Alliance provided:
92 individuals with a safe place to live through our housing programs
- 29 families
- 62 children
- 92 individuals
6,024 people with food through our community food bank
- Households Provided with food: 3,338 (2,687 children)
- Individuals Provided with food: 6,024
49 families with emergency assistance to prevent homelessness
- Rental and utility assistance,emergency hotel stays, and heating oil assistance
