Hope Gardens
Hope
Gardens, which opened in 1995, is the first transitional housing facility of
its kind in Montgomery County. A project 5 years in the planning, it is designed
to give families the time necessary for transition from the crisis of homelessness
to a stable life with hope for the future. Hope Gardens families, all successful
graduates of our Hospitality Network, are well on their way to self-sufficiency.
In exchange for sliding scale rent based on the familys income, tenants
help maintain the building and grounds and may live there for up to 24 months.
In addition to housing, each family receives family counseling, parenting education
and case management.
