This emergency Hotline, started in 1982, operates 24-hours daily, providing immediate help for families needing shelter, rental assistance to prevent eviction, help with fuel or a past due utility bill. The Hotline assists families in Ambler, Ft. Washington, Lower Gwynedd, Upper Dublin and Whitpain. All calls are evaluated by a trained volunteer and, in some cases, referred to other appropriate social service agencies if Inter-Faith cannot help, such as with food and clothing. The Hotline receives over 80 calls per month.
