For over 25 years, Inter-Faith Housing Alliance has been engaging the community to create positive outcomes for Montgomery County families experiencing the harsh and complex issues of poverty and homelessness. Inter-Faith Housing Alliance partners with local congregations, dedicated volunteers, and generous donors so we can work together to prevent and resolve homelessness in our own backyard.
Inter-Faith Housing Alliance provides emergency and transitional shelter for families with children, emergency food relief, and intensive case management and supportive services. These services are designed to help families achieve four interconnected objectives:
1) families take goal-directed steps towards a more stabilized status;
2) children attend school regularly;
3) families improve their nutritional intake; and
4) families continue to move toward self-sufficiency after leaving the shelter.
