All parents want to raise their kids to be caring, kind, community-focused citizens. We applaud those who start them young by serving Inter-Faith Housing Alliance and love to see those caring kids grow to be selfless adults.
We have come up with so many great ideas over the years. Unfortunately, there are many steps from good idea to successful implementation, and they all require time, effort, and funding—commodities we are always short on. But sometimes, everything falls perfectly into place.
While some of our families in emergency shelter have cars, many rely on public transportation or volunteers to get them to and from host congregations.
This year’s golf outing was a tremendous success! We had a wonderful day: great golf, an awesome auction, and a lovely lunch, all while raising an impressive $30,000 to help end family homelessness in Montgomery County.
St. Matthew’s has been an integral part of our program since the very beginning, and never ceases to wow us with their generosity and hospitality.
