Nearly 1.5 million homeless students were identified by the U.S. Department of Education (DoE) in the most recent school year — with an increasing number living on their own.
We’ve got “welcome home” wish lists at Amazon and Walmart of items our families need when they are moving into new apartments–everything from trash cans, to laundry baskets, to bedding.
It’s been quite a year! And like many people, we are looking forward to the end of this one. Why? Because of our wonderful Holiday Giving Program donors!
Our emergency shelter relies heavily on volunteers—more than 700 volunteers from 25 congregations supported the Interfaith Hospitality Network last year!
Employees from Dudnyk, the Horsham-based healthcare advertising firm; managers from area Starbucks stores; and members of the Young Lawyers Section of the Montgomery Bar Association came together on Martin Luther King Day to celebrate his legacy by giving their time and energy to help the families of Inter-Faith.
The month of November is always busy at Inter-Faith and this year was no different. Thanks to so many generous donations from individuals, families, businesses, community groups, and religious congregations, our families celebrated a truly joyous Thanksgiving.
We’d love to see you on Saturday, October 5 (rain or shine), from 9 am to noon, at Inter-Faith as we refresh our facilities, both indoors and out.
Especially to Gwynedd Friends Meeting and St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, whose congregants went above and beyond to help with our emergency shelter network last month.
